How to get a perfect shave

How to get a perfect shave

Getting the perfect shave is not easy. There's a wide variety of products, tools, and techniques to use, and razor burn, cuts, and skin irritation constantly threaten to ruin your skin. However, with the tips in this guide, we have trust that you'll never want to get back to your old way of shaving:

  1. Ensure that the area you want to shave warm and soften. This is one of best ways to a great close shave without razor burn and irritation. Hair that is warmed and softened by water becomes weaker, and easier to cut.
  2. Use a good shaving soap or shaving cream. You want the soap to become rich and cream, so it allows the blade to run smoothly over your skin after applying it. Less resistance will mean a longer lasting razor blade!
  3. Make sure the blade is always sharp. A dull razor is might be the biggest reason for razor burn and irritation. Regardless of the number of shaves, if the blade becomes hard to use, replace it.
  4. Rinse the razor head under hot water before you begin: After every one or two strokes, remove the hair lodged in between the blades. Hold the razor at an angle of 30°: Keep the angle of the head of the razor at about 30 degrees to the surface of the skin.
  5. Take short strokes: A safety razor doesn’t have a rotating head like disposable razors do, so keep this in mind and use short strokes over long ones.
  6. Let the razor do the work: You do'nt want to apply much pressure. In fact, applying too much pressure is generally when people cut themselves. Just let the weight of the razors handle do all the work!
  7. Rinse your face with cold water and pat dry with a towel at the end of the shave. Use the coolest water that is comfortable and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
